How information sent through the contact form and the AI assistant is used and retained.

Controller and purpose
Ahmet BASBUNAR is the data controller. Contact form data is used only to read your enquiry, reply and manage that exchange.
Data and legal basis
The form asks for your name, email address, subject and message; a technical tracking ID is also generated on submission. Please do not include sensitive data. Processing is based on the legitimate interest in responding to enquiries (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)).
Recipients and providers
The form sends these details to Web3Forms, a service operated by Web3Creative, which processes them to route a notification to the contact email inbox. Web3Forms says it uses AWS, Cloudflare and Hetzner for infrastructure. For spam prevention, its notice says the submitter’s IP address and email may be sent to CleanTalk or Akismet. Vercel hosts the site and may process technical connection data to provide and secure the service.
AI assistant
The search palette offers an optional assistant. If you use it, your question and earlier messages from the same conversation are sent to Vercel AI Gateway, which forwards them to a provider hosting the open-source gpt-oss-120b model (or Qwen or Gemma as fallbacks) to generate the answer. The site does not store questions or answers. To limit how many questions can be asked, a temporary in-memory counter keeps, for a few minutes, a pseudonymised fingerprint of the IP address (hashed with a random salt that is never stored); as for any visit, the host Vercel also processes the IP address in its technical logs. Vercel says AI Gateway does not retain request content once the answer is produced, and the site only allows providers that commit not to train their models on these requests; their own retention periods depend on each provider. Please do not enter personal data. Local search runs entirely in your browser.
Retention
Email exchanges are kept while the enquiry is being handled, then deleted when no longer needed, unless keeping evidence or meeting a legal obligation is necessary. Web3Forms retention depends on the form setting and plan: its privacy policy says up to three years, while its pricing page lists unlimited retention for some paid plans. The exact retention configured for this form must therefore be confirmed in the Web3Forms account.
Transfers outside the EEA
Web3Creative says it operates from India and uses infrastructure that may process data in multiple regions, including the United States. Its privacy notice describes contractual safeguards, including Standard Contractual Clauses, for relevant transfers. Vercel also says data may be processed outside the visitor’s country and describes its safeguards in its privacy notice.
Your rights
You may request access, correction, deletion or restriction of your personal data, object to processing and request portability where GDPR conditions apply. Email contact@ahmetbsbnr.com. You may also lodge a complaint with the French CNIL.
Browser storage
The site does not use advertising cookies or audience analytics. It stores your language choice in your browser’s local storage (localStorage) so it is remembered on later visits.
